Events in Glasgow From 10th August – 16th August 2026

Glasgow has a lot going on this week, so you'll find plenty to keep you busy. The city is known for its lively music scene, with options to suit all tastes. Expect to find rock and indie bands at venues like Barrowland Ballroom and King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, along with intimate acoustic sets in West End pubs. A diverse range of musical events means there's something for everyone. If you're into electronic music, you can find dedicated DJ nights across the city. These events cover genres from techno and trance to bassline, grime, and jungle, often in the city centre’s club spaces. Look out for themed club nights celebrating different decades and international sounds. For something more traditional, you can also find acoustic folk music sessions in establishments around Merchant City. Beyond the music, there are also social events designed for meeting new people. These gatherings provide a relaxed way to connect and socialize. Consider checking out social clubs around Finnieston or searching for organized meetups online. Whether you're after an energetic evening, a specific concert, or a chance to enjoy local talent, Glasgow offers a comprehensive mix. Getting around is easy, with efficient public transport including the Glasgow Subway – known as the Clockwork Orange – and scenic routes along the River Clyde and canal networks.
